Validating X and Grok Research Results

Acceptance Gates

A result is suitable for further review only when:

  1. each material social-source claim includes an exact canonical post URL;
  2. creation time is independently derived or verified rather than accepted only from generated prose;
  3. observed search call and result counts are recorded and remain within the requested budget;
  4. tool results report success without an unapproved route change; and
  5. evidence contains no credentials, cookies, authentication records, raw headers, or private runtime paths.

Reject generic, URL-free, malformed, future-dated, contradictory, failed, incomplete, or over-budget results.

Timestamp Scope

An X post identifier encodes a creation timestamp. Deterministic decoding can check when the identifier was created. It does not prove that the post still resolves, belongs to the displayed author, or supports a claim. Those require a successful source retrieval and separate claim review.

Evidence Accounting

Record the query boundary, exact source URLs, derived timestamps, observed tool calls and results, success count, and cost or usage units when available. Keep live calls bounded and prefer offline fixture replay for validator testing.

Research-Only Boundary

X and Grok output can generate leads and context. It must not directly trigger financial transactions, credential changes, security changes, or other state-changing actions. Those decisions require independent deterministic data and their own approval policy.
